George McVicker, 80, rural Kenyon, died Thursday at Owatonna City Hospital. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in United Methodist Church of Owatonna with the Rev. Alvin Meier officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Woodrick Funeral Home, 812 Elm, Owatonna. The Masons will hold a special service at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. He was born March 22, 1898, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He married Bessie Dercheid Oct. 28, 1918 in Eagle Grove. He is survived by his wife, Bessie; a daughter, Mrs. Gerhard Mentz of Faribault; and one grandson, Gary Mentz of Faribault.
