lone Kristina (Knutson) Grandgeorge, 67, Okoboji, died Friday, July 8 at the Dickinson Memorial Hospital, Spirit Lake. Services were 2 p.m. Monday, July 11 at the Badger Lutheran Church, Badger. Pastor John Petersen officiated. John Petersen sang "Great Is Thy Faithfulness," "Beautiful Savior," and "Amazing Grace." Pallbearers were Jack Grandgeorge, Monte Grandgeorge, Joe Grandgeorge, Mike Grandgeorge, Steve Grandgeorge and Dean Studer.

Ione Grandgeorge was born Oct. 28, 1920 at Thor, to Peter Ole and Inga Kristina (Larsen) Knutson. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1938 and Sept. 21, 1940 was married to Francis Donald Grandgeorge in Missouri. She lived in Eagle Grove, Badger, Hampton, Malcolm, Stanhope, Iowa Falls, Britt, Humboldt and Okoboji since 1981. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church, Milford. She taught Sunday school, was Luther League advisor, member of circles and Christian Women's Club, was active in Spirit Lake Dinner Date program and loved fishing, flowers, plants and most of all, her grandchildren.

She is survived by sons, Jack, Fort Dodge, Dr. Monte, Algona, Joe, Fulda, Minn., Mike, Bloomington, Minn., and Dr. Steve, Goffstown, N.H.; daughter: Christine, Wilton; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Friesth, Humboldt, Esther Smith, Des Moines and Sarah Prehm, Eagle Grove; and a brother Kermit Knutson, Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and three brothers. Burial was in the Memorial Cemetery, Fort Dodge with the Turner Funeral Home, Spirit Lake in charge of arrangements.
