Final Rites Monday For Arthur F. Henely

Funeral services for Arthur F. Henely were held Monday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in charge of Rev. Maurice Mullan. Mr. Henely died in the Veteran's Hospital, Iowa City Friday, July 29th, following a long illness. He is survived by his wife and eight children, Sandra, Shirley, Michael, Steven, Sharon, Donald, Ronald, and Edward, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Henley of Eagle Grove, two brothers Randall of Hawthorne, Calif, and Capt. Robert Henely of Dayton, Ohio and one sister, Mrs. Floyd Lenning of Thor;

Mr. Henely was employed at the Larsen Bros. Heating and Plumbing and when he became ill of a heart ailment was admitted to the University hospital, Iowa City on March 23, After suffering a stroke he was transferred to the Veterans hospital April 12th. He had a partial recovery and was able to return home for a week end visit. Death was attributed to heart failure.

Mr. Henely attended schools in Dayton Township, Clarion and Eagle Grove schools. Joining the navy he had his boot training at Great Lakes, Ill. and Purdue University. He served 18 months in the Pacific area, as an electricians mate.

He was united in marriage to Miss Doris Black, Dec. 12, 1943 in Lafayette, Ind. He was a member of Sacred Heart church, the American Legion and Eagle Grove Sportsmens Club, and president of the Woodmen of The World.

Interment was in St. John's Cemetery in Clarion and casket bearers were Lewis A. Larsen, Robert Larson, Tommy Watson, Harold Sunner, Leslie Larson and Milford Thompson of Jewell. Military rites were conducted at the graveside.
