Arthur James Henely, the son of William and Mary Osborn Henely, was born Nov. 2, 1886 at Clarion, Ia. He graduated from the Clarion High School. On March 11, 1908, he was married to Madge Randall of Fredricksburg, Ia. in the St. John's Catholic Church at Clarion. They farmed in Dayton township until he retired in 1945 and moved to Eagle Grove.

Arthur died Sunday, January 1 at the Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge, at the age of 91 years, one month and 29 days. Survivors include his wife, Madge; two sons: Randall Henely, Hawthorne, Calif:; Robert Henely, Glendale, Ariz.; one daughter, Leila (Mrs. Floyd) Lenning, Thor; 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, a son and one sister and four brothers.

Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. at the Kastler Babcock DeYoung Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 4, at the Sacred Heart Church, Eagle Grove. Father Norman White officiated and burial was in the St. John's Cemetery, Clarion.
