Miriam A. Williams, 90, Eagle Grove

Miriam Ardyce (Drzycimski) Williams, the daughter of Joe C. and Rachel (McElroy) Drzycimski, was
born November 3, 1924, in Palmer, Iowa. On May 25, 1941, Miriam was united in marriage with Richard “Dick” Williams in Bethany, Mo. The couple made their home in the Webster City/Eagle Grove area. Miriam was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Disabled American Veterans, and Eagle Grove Senior Citizens. Miriam enjoyed reading books, country music, traveling, butterflies, and socializing! Miriam passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015, at the Marian Home, in Fort Dodge, at the age of 90 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1999; grandson, Donny Messerschmitt; great-great-grandsons, Atley and William Olson; brother, Bob Drzycimski; and sons-in-law, Ernie Brown and Robert Messerschmitt. Miriam is survived by her four children: Richard Williams and wife, Becky, of Winterset, Mary Kay Messerschmitt of Watkins, Barbara Brown of Eagle Grove, and Sylvia Tincher and husband, Norman, of Eagle Grove; 21 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 90 great-great-grandchildren; and six siblings: Mary Jean Buckley of Fort Dodge, Rita Ivory of Fort Dodge, Nick Drzycimski of Fort Dodge, Betsy O’Leary of Fort Dodge and Rachel Carter of Denver, Colo. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. A Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 19, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove with Father Jerry Blake celebrating. Burial was held in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City. Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
