September 4, 1908 --- March 9, 1976

John Klooster, son of Tony and Benendtje Dreyer Klooster, was born September 4, 1908 on a farm southeast of Webster City, Ia. He passed away at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames on March 9 at the age of 67 years, 6 months, five days. He received his education in Hamilton County, after which he began farming. Funeral services were held Friday, March 12, at the Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg. Rev. Edward Masters officiated, at the service. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery at Webster City.

On June 6, 1930 he was married to Vesta Heck of Webster City. To this union was born one daughter, DiAnn and one son who died in infancy. The family moved to Britt in 1947, where he continued farming. His wife preceded him in death in 1961. In 1966 he opened an Electric Motor business on his farm. In 1970 he was married to Jeanette Olson of Clarion. They made their home in Clarion, while he continued to expand his
business in Britt.

John is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Morris Peterson of Clarion; three grandchildren; three step-children; five sisters: Mrs. Kenneth Schweppe of Webster City; Mrs. Amos Frette of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Leland Phillips of Webster City; Mrs. Glenn Kunkle of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and Mrs. Lloyd St. John of Claremont, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents.
