Glen McCaulley was born March 2, 1920, the son of Remington J. and Blanche Hess McCaulley. He attended school at Stuart, Ia., and was a member of the CCC prior to entering the service in October, 1940. He served until 1943 with action in Algeria and Tunisia. After his discharge from service, he attended barber college, and had worked at this trade for 25 years.

Glen was united in marriage to Betty Watson in 1946 and the couple made their home in Eagle Grove. Glen died in the explosion of the Coast-to-Coast and Chatter Box Cafe buildings on February 2, 1973, at the age of 52 years and 11 months.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two sons, Mark McCaulley and Tom McCaulley; a brother, Burnice McCaulley, Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Eagle Grove, a member of the Draft Board, and a deacon, trustee, clerk and treasurer of the church.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Eagle Grove. Rev. Arthur W. Anderson officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
