November 23, 1874 --- July 11, 1962

Mrs. Nettie Pate was born Nov. 23, 1874 in Humboldt county. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs. Isaac Hanson. Mrs. Pate attended the schools of the Thor community. She was confirmed in 1889 at Norway Lake Menighed Kirke by Pastor Holm. Mrs. Pate was united in marriage to Sam Pate, April 19, 1924 in the St. Olaf Lutheran church in Fort Dodge. They made their home in Woolstock and lived there the greater part of their life. About seven years ago, Mrs. Pate was taken to the Askvig Nursing home in Eagle Grove where she passed away Wednesday, July 11, 1962. Preceding her in death were her husband, one daughter Bertha Taylor. She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Freda Siepold, Malvern, Iowa, and Mrs. Mabel Wingert of Sioux City, Iowa. Also by step-children Cecil and Carroll Pate, Lola, Laura, Wilma, Beulah and Hazel. Also one sister Mrs. Hans K. Larson, Webster City, Iowa. Funeral services were conducted at the Kastler Funeral Home Friday, July 13 at 2:00 p. m. with Pastor Jordan T. Jacobsen officiating. Burial was held in the Norway cemetery.
