Richard Osman, son of Joseph and Emma Osman, was born November 6, 1912 at Morris, Ill. He graduated from the Eagle Grove High School in 1931. He was united in marriage to Genola White on June 3, 1937. He graduated from Worsham's School of Mortuary in Chicago, Ill., and was active as a licensed Illinois Embalmer and Funeral Director for 52 years. His wife was also a graduate of Worsham's. He was active in the
Masonic Lodge and in his church choir.E. Richard Osman died December 27, 1992, at South Suburban Hospital, Hazel Crest, Ill., following dialysis and two heart attacks. He had attained the age of 80 years, one month, and 20 days. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donald, Russell, Joe and Jess; and one sister, Vivian Weaver and his step-mother, Mildred Osman. He is survived by his wife; one son, Richard A. Osman and one daughter, Mrs. George (Jean) Carlin; four grandchildren, all in the Chicago area; one brother, Glenn Osman, Manitowoc, Wis.; two sisters, Gladys Howorth, Joliet, Ill., and Eloise Ivano, Streator, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, December 30, at 10:30 a.m. at the Panozzo Brothers Funeral Home, Chicago Heights, Ill., with the Rev. Jensen of Tinley Park officiating. Burial was at Mt. Emblem, Elmhurst, Ill.
