Funeral services held for former resident

Funeral services were held for Mrs. William Bauer (LaVane) Tuesday, November 17 at the Methodist Church, in Austin, Minn. LaVane Bauer died November 13, in Austin. Her husband, Bill, had been associated with the Leuthold-Hinkley men's store in Eagle Grove from 1930 until 1947. In 1947 the family moved to Minnesota where Mr. Bauer continued his association with the Leuthold chain until he went into business for himself. For many years he operated his own men's store in Austin. Mrs. Bauer is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bauer of Rochester, Minn., and two granddaughters.
