HELEN NELSON
Helen Fisher was born October 16, 1916, near Eagle Grove. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1934. She married Arthur Nelson in 1936 at Webster City. The couple farmed in Lake Township for many years until retiring and moving to Humboldt. She had been a resident at the Humboldt Care Center South for the past three years.

Helen Nelson, 77, Humboldt died February 11, 1994, at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; her parents; and brother, Melvin Fisher. Survivors include a son, Ronald of South Haven, Minn., and Mountain Home, Ark.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 16 at Trinity Lutheran Church near Hardy. The Rev. H. W. Schiller officiated. Burial was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt, was in charge of arrangements.
