EVA FAGAN LALOR
Eva Fagan was born to Levi and Mary Olivia Burns Fagan June 2, 1906, in Calhoun County, Iowa. She attended school there graduating from Rockwell City High School. She was also, a graduate of Drake University in Des Moines. She was a school teacher before her marriage May 26, 1933 to Fredrick Simon Lalor. They lived for many years in Eagle Grove. The couple moved to Vista, Calif, in 1957 where she taught kindergarten at Santa Fe Elementary School. Her husband died suddenly in 1959, and she returned to Iowa later that year and taught in the Rockwell City Elementary School until retirement. After retiring from teaching she moved back to Vista in 1970 and lived at the Corona Del Vista Mobile Home Park until the time of her death.

Eva Fagan Lalor died February 9, 1994 in Vista, Calif., at the age of 89. Her only son, Rik, died in 1960 at the age of 24 in an auto accident the night before he was to be married. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, five sisters, and four brothers. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A memorial service was held February 17, at the Church of Religious Science in Vista. Interment and graveside service will be March 19 at Rose Hill Cemetery near Eagle Grove where her husband and son are buried.
