Delmer H. Rengstorf was born in Marysville, Kansas. He and his father operated Rengstorf Motors in Eagle Grove for many years. After his father's retirement, he moved to Porterville, Calif. He lived there for 33 years. He worked as an accountant for C&W Chevrolet in Porterville. A former member of the Elks Lodge, he served as treasurer at the First Lutheran Church. He was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1945 - 47 and was a World War II veteran.

Delmer "Del" H. Rengstorf, 66, died Tuesday, February 22, 1994. Survivors include his wife, Phyllis of Porterville; a son, Dr. Michael Rengstorf of New York City, N. Y.; two daughters, Kathleen Parham of Mare Island and Peggy Holt of Porterville; two sisters, Ileene Lockwood of Humboldt, and Lola Gilbranson of Eagle Grove; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Friday, February 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Visalia, Calif. The Rev. Roger Hazen of Trinity Lutheran Church in Porterville officiated.
