April 2, 1895 -- July 13, 1987

Clara Christopher was born in Chicago, Ill., on April 2, 1895. She was educated in the Chicago school system and her last employment in Chicago was as a manager of a National Tea Store which was one of a large chain grocery company. She married Jesse Christopher of Vincent, Iowa, in Chicago, in 1924, and moved to Iowa at that time. She and her husband farmed in Webster County for 33 years until his death in December 1957. Clara Christopher died July 13, 1987. Survivors include one sister, Christine Jacobson living in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held July 16, 1987 at 1:30 p.m. at the Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Carlton Shaw officiating. Burial was in the Newark Township Cemetery, Vincent.
