Eric Leroy Bygness, 78, passed away June 8, 2015, in Pahrump. Born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, also a resident of John Day, Oregon. Eric was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force, operating and repairing heavy equipment for the Oregon Highways Dept. for over 30 years. He leaves a loving wife, Caroll Zerkle-Bygness; a daughter Erica (Eric) Palmrose; grandson, Tyler Palmrose; daughter, Jennifer Bygness; and granddaughter Chloe Snow Smith; four stepchildren, thirteen step-grandchildren, and brothers and sisters in Iowa. Preceding him in death are his parents, Jeffrey Bygness and Veva May Gardner, and two brothers, Vernon and Jerry Bygness. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family and Hospice Care. He loved gardening, working on riding lawn tractors, and anything with an engine. Eric was loved by many, and will be missed by all. Private family Celebration of Life and graveside services will be held later. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to L.D.S.
