B. N. CAREY DIES AT 80

Bruss N. Carey, 80, at longtime resident of the Webster City community, died Saturday noon at the Hamilton County hospital. He had been in ill health for the past five years. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Marvin E. Brewer officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Bruss Newton Carey, son of John N. and Rhoda Jenkin Carey, was born Aug. 6, 1891 at Hamburg, Iowa. He was reared and educated in the Shenandoah area. He was united in marriage Oct 21, 1919, to Alta F. Jones and the couple made their home in Sioux City where Mr. Carey attended the barber college. He followed that profession for 10 years at Sioux City, moving then to Eagle Grove where he engaged in barbering for 20 years. For the past 18 years he had been a resident of Webster City. He is survived by his wife; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sister and seven brothers.
