December 1863 -- April 22, 1944

Daniel Hibbard, 80, of Humboldt passed away Saturday afternoon April 22, Sunday afternoon at 6 p.m. at the home of his son John Hibbard south of Humboldt. Funeral services will be held Monday morning April 24 at 9 o'clock at St. Marys church in Humboldt. Father Fitzpatrick in charge. The remains to be buried in the local cemetery. He is survived by two adopted children: Mrs. Frank Smith of Whittemore and John Hibbard of Humboldt. He and Mrs. Hibbard, who preceded him in death raised two other children namely Mrs. Andrew Johnson and Mrs. Fred Wickman both of Fort Dodge. His wife Ella had preceded him in death passing away last year. He had been a resident of this community for sixty-five years. He was a retired farmer.
