Jerry R. Webb of Eagle Grove was born September 12, 1942, at Iowa City, Iowa, to Raymond and Letha Webb. After high school, he served in the US Navy. He then drove a truck for Umthun Trucking Company out of Eagle Grove. He was a two-time State Truck Rodeo Champion and a National Truck Rodeo Champion while at Umthun Trucking Company. After leaving Umthun Trucking Company, he worked for A&R Transport Trucking until his retirement in 2007 when he moved to Casa Grande, Ariz. Jerry died Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at the age of 72. He is survived by two sons, Dan Webb and Jim Webb; granddaughter Afton Webb; two great-grandchildren, Brenna and Jayden Grandgeorge; siblings Darlene Schaffer and DuWayne Webb, who is deceased; and his ex-wife, Diana Webb. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 2 p.m., at the Burt Activity Center, in Burt. Iowa.
