Raymond Draeger, 75, Webster City, died Sept. 16, 1996 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Burial will be at the Cass Township Cemetery, north of Webster City. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service.

Raymond George Draeger, son of Albert and Pearl Welch Draeger, was born April 22, 1921, in Goldfield. He attended schools in Wright County and Sunnyside No. 9 rural school in Cass Township. On June 6, 1941, he married Maxine Hazel Larson in Missouri. The couple resided in rural Webster City, Boone, Panora, Woolstock. Galt, and then returned to Webster City. He had farmed and also was a truck driver, driving for McMurray Hatchery for 20 years. He retired and continued to reside in Webster City. His wife died in February of 1993.

He is survived by daughters, Carol Arthur, Clarion, Sharon Conway, South Bend, Ind., Gladys Pruismann, Marjorie Krieger, both of Blairsburg, Judy Burlingame, Holland, Mich., Pearl Hanson, Sac City, Viola Christian, Kamrar, Barbara Shaw, Fort Dodge, Mary Ann Torrez, Albuquerque, N.M., Jane Schnell, Webster City, Marlene Kastner, Marshalltown; sons, George, LeRoy, Albert and Gary, all of Webster City, Charles, Stratford; 52 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; brothers, Marvin Draeger, Webster City, Melvin Draeger, Mt. Ayr; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by sons, David and Darwin; and his parents.
