18 August 1822 --- 19 January 1894

Mrs. Engebor Nelson died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Hartsell, on Fifth street, in this city, January 19th, 1894, at the age of 72 years. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson came from Norway to Chicago about thirty five years ago and afterwards removed to Story county, this state, where her husband died about twenty-five years ago. She came here to live with Mr. and Mrs. Hartsell about nine years ago, and has been an invalid a long time, yet she bore her sufferings patiently. The funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran church, of which she was a member, conducted by Rev. Holm, and the burial took place at the Rose Hill cemetery last Sunday.
