September 5, 1937 ---- February 21, 2015

JoAnn Roehre, age 77, of Plymouth, WI passed away unexpectedly early Saturday morning (Feb. 21) at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. She was born on September 5, 1937 in Belmond, IA, a daughter of the late Paul and Clara Mae (Mosiman) Steenblock. She attended Belmond Public Grade School and graduated from Belmond High School in 1955 where she said she had received the best education that she used throughout her life. After high school JoAnn was employed with the Route and Murray Civil Engineering company as a secretary.

On a summer vacation to California JoAnn met the love of her life, Tom Roehre. On June 22, 1957 they were united in marriage at St. Frances Catholic Church in Belmond, IA. In 1967 they moved back to Plymouth, WI to raise their family. JoAnn was a working mother. She was employed with the David Douglas Company in Plymouth and later with Sargento Cheese Company in the accounts payable department, retiring in 2003. JoAnn was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. She served on the Parish Council Human Concerns Committee, taught CCD and was a member of the Christian Women's Society.

JoAnn loved music; she was a walking encyclopedia of songs and song titles. She enjoyed being a member of the Sargento SECAP Singers. She was an avid Greenbay Packer fan, WI Badger football fan and sometimes an Iowa Hawkeye football fan.

Survivors include her two daughters: Brenda Roehre of Plymouth and Sara (Hubert) Van de Pas of Plymouth; two granddaughters: Marike and Lucienne Van de Pas; her siblings: Leonard (LuAnn) Steenblock of Belmond, IA, Leslie (Sue) Steenblock of Mason City, IA and Cathy (Scott) Ibeling of Applington, IA; two brothers-in-law: Robert Roehre and Don Birkholz and two sisters-in-law: Kathleen (Richard) Burich and Nancy Roehre. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Clara Mae Steenblock; husband: Tom; father and mother-in-law: Henry and Ida Roehre; brother-in-law: David Roehre and sister-in-law: Marie Birkholz.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (Feb. 28th) at 12:00 noon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dan Volkert, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in the parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services. A memorial fund is being established in JoAnn's name. The Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services is serving the family.
