March 21, 1895 --- April 1, 1959

Mrs. Orpha Neilsen, 64, died Wednesday morning at her home, 1335 N. Federal. She had lived in Mason City 11 years. Mrs. Neilsen was born March 21, 1895, in Clear Lake, daughter of Henry and Viola Barton. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Vesta) Losh, Mason City; Mrs. Fred (Vivian) Schumpp, Fort Worth, Texas; and Mrs. William (Betty) Koderick, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two sons, B. E. Neilsen, Ames; and Carl Neilsen, Berkeley, California; and 13 grandchildren. Two sisters, Pearl Fisher, Emmetsburg, and Lettie Smith, Waterloo, and two brothers, Forrest Barton, Owatonna, Minnesota, and Grover Barton, Spencer, also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1940, and by a son, Irvin Neilsen, in 1937. Funeral arrangements are in complete. Friends may call at the Patterson-James Chapel from Thursday evening until the time of services.
