June 24, 1886 --- July 2, 1946

Tracy Clyde Barton, 59, 9 Kingwood Street, revered Brainerd [Minnesota] businessman, died Saturday night at St. Joseph's Hospital following a short illness. Mr. Barton was born in Forest City, Iowa June 21, 1887, and had been a resident of Brainerd 12 years. He was engaged most of his life in the bakery and real estate business. Mr. Barton established bakeries in Spencer and Forest City, Iowa and Owatonna and Montevideo, Minnesota and in Brainerd in 1934 purchased the Park Bakery. Although he had no office in either endeavor Mr. Barton was active in the Lions club and in the Brainerd Elks Lodge. He was an active sportsman and won many medals and trophies.

Mr. Barton was married to Evelyn Edna Jaeck September 28, 1933 in Milbank, South Dakota. Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Viva Nielson of Long Beach, California; a granddaughter, Roma Nielson, Owatonna; two brothers, Forest Barton of Owatonna and Grover Barton of Spencer, Iowa; and three sisters, Miss Lettie Smith of Richmond, California, Mrs. Orpha Wolfe, Los Angeles and Mrs. Pearl Fisher, Emmetsburg, Iowa. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Henderson funeral home.
