Forest Eugene Coulter was born June 5, 1902, the son of William and Nora Jenkins Coulter, at Winnebago, Minn. He received his education in Windom, Minn., before graduating from Goldfield High School, Goldfield. He worked for Harry Moore at Moore's Grocery in Goldfield before becoming a bee keeper. He also enjoyed gardening and sold his homegrown popcorn at various events around the area. He retired at the age of 78, and moved to the Clarion Care Center, Clarion. He was a member of the Goldfield United Methodist Church and the Goldfield Senior Citizens. He was also a member of the Wright County Coin Collectors, and the Bee Keepers Association.

Forest Coulter died October 9, 1990, at the Clarion Care Center at the age of 88 years, four months, and four days. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Eugene. He is survived by his two sisters, Esther Haddow, Yountsville, Calif., and Viola Jorgensen of Eagle Grove. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. October 12 with the Rev. James Seibert officiating. Services were held at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
