September 7, 1887 --- March 17, 1966

Harvey Oscar Evans of Woolstock died Mar. 17, at the Clarion Community Hospital where he had been a patient for six days. Funeral services were held Saturday, Mar. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Woolstock Methodist Church with Rev. Gordon Freeburg officiating. Burial was at the Memorial Park Cemetery at Ft. Dodge.

Harvey Oscar Evans, son of Penry and Ellen Evans, was born September 7, 1887 on the family farm Northeast of Woolstock. He attended the rural schools in Woolstock Township. On January 28, 1915 he was united in marriage with Ethel Vera Fisher at Eagle Grove. They made their home on the farm where Harvey was born. In 1946 they moved from the farm to Woolstock.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; one son, Frederick of Woolstock; three grandchildren. Judy, Connie, and Melody Evans; three sisters, Maude (Mrs. E. O. Frakes) of Webster City, Mrs. Elizabeth Puffett of Eagle Grove, Miss Blanche Evans of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and one brother, James, of Humboldt. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters, and two grandchildren.
