November 2, 1887 --- April 9, 1966

Mrs. Ethel Evans, 78, died Saturday, April 9, at the Community Memorial Hospital at Clarion. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. April 12 at the Woolstock Methodist Church with Rev. Gordon Freeburg officiating and burial at the Memorial Park cemetery in Ft. Dodge.

Ethel Vera Evans, daughter of John M. and Marian Woodard Fisher, was born November 2, 1887, on a farm south of Eagle Grove. She attended the Troy Township schools and graduated from the Eagle Grove High School in 1907. She attended Highland Park College, Des Moines, for two years. She taught school in Troy Township. On January 28, 1915, she was united in marriage to Harvey O. Evans at Eagle Grove. The couple made their home on the farm north of Woolstock until 1946, when they moved into Woolstock. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church. She was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service, and of Circle 2, and of the Homemakers Club of Woolstock.

She is survived by one son, Frederick, three grandchildren, Judy, Connie, and Melody Evans, and one sister, Mrs. George Atwood, all of Woolstock. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who died March 17, 1966; two brothers, one sister, and two grandchildren.
