Jerrad Robert Axelsen, six months, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 7:30 p.m., a victim of sudden infant death syndrome. Jerrad was the son of John and Alana (Carroll) Axelsen of Thornton. A prayer service was held at Grarup Funeral Home Thursday, and graveside rites were held at the Pleasant View Cemetery Friday morning. The Rev. John Rosenberg of the Salem United Church of Meservey officiated. Surviving are a sister, Chasidy, five, paternal grandparents, Chris and Donna Axelsen of Clear Lake, maternal grandparents, Walt and Gloria Braner of Belmond and a great grandmother, Mrs. J. Elise Savage of Clear Lake.
