Cleo Marie Frank
May 24, 1925 --– January 1, 2015

Cleo was born in Belmond, Iowa. Her parents Jim and Thora Trees and younger brother Bill were a hard working and loving family. Coming from a small Iowa farming town Cleo had a passionate excitement for life and people. She had an elegant style and energy that was evident in everything she did. She met her husband of 63 years Richard Frank, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She worked in Minneapolis until Richard was recalled back into the Air Force they moved to Fairchild AFB in Spokane, Washington. She gave birth to two boys, Bruce and Greg Frank. In the late 50’s the family move to Glasgow, Montana for 3 yrs, then transferred to Riverside, California in the early 60’s. During her time as a mother and Air Force wife, Cleo was active raising two boys and managing a household during several overseas assignments that her husband had as a B52 commander for SAC. When her husband retired in the early 70’s they moved back to western Washington an settled in Gig Harbor as Richard started a new career in the Life insurance business. They built a beautiful home in 1971 in Gig Harbor overlooking the Puget Sound and Fox Island. Shortly after they built their dream house, they had an opportunity to live and work in Germany for about 3 years and then returned to their home in Gig harbor. During her time in Gig Harbor, Cleo had a close group of women she played tennis with on a regular basis even after two hip replacements. Cleo came close to leaving us due to heart failure at a convention she was attending with Richard in Tampa, Florida in which she was in coma for 4 days. She recovered to continue with her active life. Over time due to health issues they had to sell their home and moved into assisted living. When the love of her life, Richard, passed away in March 2014, Cleo kept her tough commitment to living her life to the fullest. She is survived by her brother Bill Trees and her two sons Bruce and Greg Frank, their wives Deborah and Serap, and five grandchildren.
