DEATH OF HENRY FARLIN

Many friends in Chariton will learn with sorrow of the death of Henry Farlin, which occurred at the hospital in Eagle Grove, Iowa, on Saturday, Nov. 10, 1928. The Tuesday previous he had undergone an operation for ulcers of the stomach and was apparently getting along nicely until a few minutes before his death, which came as a great shock to his relatives. He was a son of Mrs. George Farlin, of this place, who is spending the winter in Eagle Grove, and grew to young manhood in Chariton. The remains were brought to this city Monday morning and taken to the family home, and on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock, funeral services, conducted by Rev. J. A. Riggs, were held at the First Baptist Church, followed by interment in the Russell cemetery. He is survived by his mother and by one brother, Emory Farlin, and one sister, Mrs. Lillie Tacker, of Eagle Grove. To these grief stricken one the deep sympathy of the community will be extended. Deceased left Chariton last summer for Eagle Grove where he had been assisting his brother in his bakery. Among those who attended the funeral were his mother, Mrs. M. J. Farlin, his brother Emory and wife, his sister, Mrs. Lillie Tacker, all of Eagle Grove, and a nephew Le Vay Farlin and wife of Lincoln, Nebraska.
