19 September 1887 --- 27 March 1915

Eva Laura King was born at Carroll, Iowa, Sept. 19, 1887. Her parents moved to Eagle Grove about twelve years ago. Her father. H. B. King being an engineer on passenger train between Eagle Grove and Des Moines. She attended Eagle Grove high school until 1904. She was married in Chicago, Ill., April 6, 1905 to John William Robinson. To this union were born four children, Mildred, aged 8 years, Frances, aged 6 years, William, aged 4 years and Eva Laura, aged 1 year.

She, with her husband and children moved to Eagle Grove, Ia., in October 1912 and was residing on a farm about six miles southeast of Eagle Grove at the time of her death. On February 20, 1915, she was operated on at Eagle Grove Hospital for appendicitis and returned to her home March 6th, seemingly in good health. On March 9th she was taken ill and confined to her bed, from which she did not arise. She departed this life at 5:30 a.m., March 26, 1915.

Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn her loss, two brothers, A. H. King, Council Bluffs,Iowa; Arthur O. King, Washington D.C.; and six sisters, Mrs. John Fiscus, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. E. C. Archibald, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mrs. Chas. Robinson, Eagle Grove, Iowa; Mrs. Will Teufel, Ord, Neb.; Mrs. H. Huntington, Billings, Mont.; and Mrs. Clyde Rose, Milwaukee, Wis.

The deceased was a member of M. E. Church of Eagle Grove, and her Christian qualities as a wife and mother, and her loving care of home and family are best known and most greatly missed by those she leaves behind. She was a moving spirit in church society work and neighborly gatherings, and will be greatly missed by those who were associated with her in these matters.

Jepsen, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. John Fiscus, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Will Teufel, Ord, Neb; Mr. Alfred Robinson, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. Albert Robinson, Brownsdale, Minn.; Miss Lillian Robinson, Ft Dodge, Ia; Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Robinson of Boone, Iowa.
