Last rites today for Frank E. Imus

Frank E. Imus, long time Eagle Grove resident, died on Monday at the Rotary Ann Home. Services will be on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Humboldt. Kastler-Babcock Service is in charge of arrangements.

Frank Eugene Imus, the son of Charles and Mary Hale Imus was born on May 1, 1883 at Bingham Lake, Minnesota. He died early Monday morning October 26 at the Rotary Ann Home in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He attained the age of 98 years, 5 months 25 days. As a small child, he moved with his family to Marble Rock, Iowa where he attended school. For several years he lived at Bradgate, Iowa. In 1926 he moved to Eagle Grove and for many years he and his sister Florence lived on N 8th st. Frank was a cement mason, a carpenter and cabinet maker. During the years he lived at Bradgate, he played in musical bands in the Bradgate and Ft Dodge areas. He was very interested in baseball and girl's basketball. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Florence and Mattie and 3 brothers, Will, Tabor and John.

Funeral services for Frank E. Imus were held on Wednesday October 28, 1981 at the United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. Rev Don Callen officiated and burial was in the Union Cemetery at Humboldt, Iowa. Visitation was held at the Kostler-Babcock Funeral Home on Tuesday.
