February 24, 1904 --- November 9, 1968

Everett W. Beisner, 64, of rural Dows, died at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines Saturday. He was admitted to the hospital Sunday. He was born February 24, 1904 in Vernon Township, the son of Herman and Augusta Bauman Beisner. He grew to manhood in that area and was a life long resident of Dows and farmed before retiring in 1962. On February 12, 1930 he was married to Tillie Reinen at Jackson, Minn. To this union 3 children were born: Robert of South Sioux City, Nebr., Mrs. Donald Wakefield of Franklin, Ind., Mrs. Howard Einspahr of Prairie Village, Kan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five brothers and sisters, Fred, Frank, Leonard and Mrs. Inez Jacobson, all of Dows, and Mrs. Elsa Domres of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. He was a life member of Vernon Lutheran Church and a town trustee and clerk. He was a school board director and member of ASC. Funeral services were held from the Vernon Lutheran Church Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 12 with Rev. David Anderson in charge. Burial was in Vernon Township Cemetery. The William Van Hove Funeral Home, Dows was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
