Otis Larson, son of Abel and Lena Severson Larson, was born near Thor on November 24, 1899 and later attended the country schools near there. He never married. He farmed many years near Thor and later farmed north of Goldfield until his health failed. The past several years he resided in the Heritage Home in Clarion. He had been a patient in Bethesda General Hospital one week preceding his death on Saturday morning, March 3, 1973. He was 73 years, three months and nine days of age at the time of his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by one brother, Alvin of Kanawha; five sisters, Mrs. Selma Thompson, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Ida Thompson, Goldfield; Mrs. Clara McPherson, Houston, Tex.; Mrs. Caroline Larson, Humboldt; and Mrs. John Teems, Indianola. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. W. E. Carlson officiating. Interment was held on the family lot in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
