May 11, 1875 --- May 27, 1945

Hans Peter Madson, 70, at 2 a. m. Sunday morning. He was looking after his usual duties at the Wilson & Co. Produce plant when he became ill, passing away almost instantly. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wilson Chapel, in charge of the Rev. Harry Throckmorton. Mrs. Ruth Ellsworth and Miss Mabeth Throckmorton, accompanied by Mrs. Louise Knutson, will sing "Rock of Ages", "Someday I'll Understand" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere". Burial in Rose Hill cemetery.

Hans Peter Madson was born May 11, 1875 in Langaland, Denmark and passed away May 27, 1945 at Eagle Grove, Iowa. He was the son of Stien John and Hansena Madson. He came with his parents to America at the age of nine years. He was raised to manhood in the Evergreen Neighborhood. He was engaged in farming for 37 years. He was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Wambsol February 14, 1911 and to this union were born eight children, 6 daughters and 2 sons. In 1918 they moved to a farm west of Luverne, Iowa. In 1933 they moved to a farm west of Eagle Grove where they resided until 1939 when they moved to this city. At the time of his death he was employed at the Wilson Produce Co.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and eight children; Mrs. Hazel Glemmetsal of Corpus Christie, Texas; Mrs. Nadean Mescher of Webster City, Iowa; Mrs. Freda Hudson of Blairsburg, Iowa; Mrs. Nellie Stafford, Mrs. Ruth Stafford, Harold and Phyllis, all of this city; Richard, Seaman second class in the U. S. Navy; also nine grandchildren; 3 brothers and one sister, and many other relatives and friends. He was a kind and loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
