When she was 5 years of age the family moved to Rugby, N. D., where she attended school and grew to young womanhood.
In 1910 she and one sister came to Goldfield, Iowa, to make their home. Here she met Hans P. Madson and they were married in Goldfield on February 14, 1911. She had been in failing health for the past two years and the last year she spent as a bed patient at the Askvig-Crickmore nursing home.
