Max Marolf was born on December 5, 1910, to Frank and Arvella Williams Marolf at Lineville, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Mary Alice Oldaker on March 10, 1955. They farmed for 18 years together until their retirement. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Eagle Grove, Iowa. Max Marolf died Sunday, June 13, 1999, at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove at the age of 88. Survivors include a brother, Lionel Marolf, Moline, III.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Mary Alice. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at 10:30 a.m. at the Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, with the Reverend William Ballard officiating. Burial was held in Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
