Weldon Simon Weaver was born April 14, 1919 at Wakefield, Neb., the son of Victor and Clemmie Sophia Montgomery Weaver. He was educated in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School in 1939. Weldon was united in marriage to Bertha Darlene Benson of Emerson, Neb., on September 24, 1943, at Wayne, Neb. He was with the United States Army during World War II with service in Europe as an Army Engineer. He lived in Nebraska and worked at the greenhouse in Wayne, Neb. He later moved to Webster City and worked at the greenhouse there for 18 years. He then moved to Eagle Grove and worked for the Eagle Grove Greenhouse for 20 years. Weldon was semi-retired for two years before his death.

Weldon Weaver died October 18, 1987, at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion, at the age of 68 years, six months, and four days. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son, Wayne Steven, and one brother, Earling. He is survived by his wife, Bertha, two sons, Darrel and Victor, both of Webster City; four daughters, Patricia Weaver, Eagle Grove, Carol Bachman, Cedar Falls, Mrs. David (Blanche) Zeigler, Corwith, and Mrs Carrol (Mary) Snyder, Adel; one brother, Arthur, Denver, Colo , and one sister, Mrs. Earl (Dorothy) Mattis, Laurel, Neb

Weldon was a member of the VFW of Eagle Grove. Funeral services were held at the Samuel Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove October 21, 1987 at 11 a.m. The Rev Carlton Shaw officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
