Sophia Lavin of Eagle Grove was buried in the Mount Calvary Cemetery here last Saturday. She died in Eagle Grove last week and funeral services were held there for her on last Saturday by Father Nolan. Sophia moved to Eagle Grove about 15 years ago. She was 65 years old. She is survived by three brothers: James, Jerry, and Tom in Eagle Grove. A sister, Mrs. Tillie Heskett, died two years ago in Eagle Grove. Sophia's parents were Patrick and Anna Lavin, who were both born in Ireland.

Services for Sophia Lavin, 65 Held, in Eagle Grove Church

EAGLE GROVE, Nov. 29.--Funeral services for Miss Sophia Lavin, 65, were held at the Sacred Heart church Saturday morning in charge of the Rev. T. Nolan, local pastor. Burial was at Livermore. Miss Lavin is survived by three brothers: James, Jerry and Thomas, Eagle Grove, and two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Horan of this city and Mrs. George Turner of Fort Dodge.
