February 4, 1889 ---- May 27, 1947

Livermore - Funeral services for William McKenzie, who passed away at the Mercy hospital in Fort Dodge, on Tuesday morning following an accident on Saturday evening, were held at the Methodist church, the Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. Skaugstad Funeral home was in charge. Pallbearers were Bill and Dick Davis, George Foth, Cecil Smith, Larry Warner, and Don Anderson. Burial took place at the Union cemetery west of town.

Mr. McKenzie was born at Whittemore, Iowa, 58 years ago and spent his entire life in Humboldt and Kossuth counties. He moved to Livermore 5 years ago from Hardy. He was married to Frieda Twigg. Three children were born to this union, Dorothy and Mrs Louis Garmen of Livermore and Fred of Des Moines. He is also survived by an adopted son, Lester, who is in the Navy and a step-son Robert Twigg of Estherville and several brothers and sisters. Mr and Mrs Ted McKenzie of Des Moines and Mr and Mrs Robert Twigg of Estherville and Mr and Mrs Lester McKenzie attended the services.
