A memorial service for Ruby Hensel of Gainesville, Fla., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday Aug. 27, 1994, at Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn. Mrs. Hensel, 91, formerly of Auburn, died Friday, Aug. 12. The Rev. Henry J. Koopman will officiate the memorial service. Lampe Funeral Home of Lake City is handling the funeral arrangements.

She was born Aug. 30, 1902, in Story City, a daughter of John and Emma Louise Egenes. She and William Hensel were married Dec. 31, 1927 [in Renwick, Iowa]. Mrs. Hensel was a school teacher, school secretary, volunteer, choir member and traveler. She was a longtime resident of Auburn and had lived in Pinellas Park and Gainesville, Fla. in recent years. Mrs. Hensel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn.

Survivors include four sons: Dr. James Hensel of Florida; Roy Hensel of New Jersey; Art Hensel of Florida; and Harold Hensel of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Marsha Miller, of California; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Neveln, of Illinois.
