March 12, 1916 --- March 7, 1984

A former Livermore and Renwick resident, Mrs. Harold (Roberta) LaVier, 67, Algona, died Wednesday, March 7, at the Good Samaritan Can Center in Algona. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 10, at the First United Methodist Church, Algona, with burial at the Union Cemetery of Livermore. Wilson Funeral Home, Algona, was in charge of arrangements.

Roberta Morrall was born in Spencer and moved with her family to Livermore as a young girl. She graduated from Livermore High School in 1934, and from the business college in Peoria, Illinois. She married Harold G. LaVier in 1937 in Fort Dodge and they farmed near Chariton and owned restaurants in Hampton, Renwick and later in Fort Dodge. They moved to California in 1969 and to Algona in 1976.

Surviving an her husband, Harold; sons: Robert, Mount Pleasant, Mich.; Clarence, Lake Port, Calif.; daughters: Mrs. William (Carolyn) Filter, Wayne, Neb., Mrs. Michael (Nancy) Butler, Hemet, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bernard Morrall, Armstrong.
