November 2, 1839 --- January 21, 1918

Austin Marsh was born in the state of New York Nov. 2, 1839, but while yet a child his parents moved to northeast Iowa, where he was reared and married to Clarinda Blanchard. In time they moved to Kansas, and homesteaded, and in later years returned to Iowa where he lived on his farm four and a half miles north of Renwick, until the death of his wife seven years ago, when he went to Palacios, Texas where he resided until the time of his death.

He is survived by three children; Mrs. Elva Hathaway, Riverside, Cal., E. A. Marsh, Enell, Ark; and Lizzie A. Mims, Palacios, Texas; also two brothers and a sister. He was devoted to his loved ones and his home and was a good neighbor, always ready to help with a willing hand or cheerful word. He was laid to rest in the Vernon Cemetery [Hardy Iowa].
