Livermore, IA — Mass of Christian Burial for Robert T. McKenna of Livermore was celebrated by Father Paul Elsele at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept 11, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Livermore. Interment was in Mount Calvary Cemetery with the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt in charge of funeral arrangements. Casket bearers were Denny Prilipp, Brad and Brian Hill, Dean Simpson, Tim and Jim McKenna and Jake Simpson.

Robert Thomas, son of Edward and Ida Baessler McKenna, was born near Hardy where he was raised and educated. He was married to Aurilla Blesie Apr. 25, 1936 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Livermore. Mr. and Mrs. McKenna farmed near Humboldt and Renwick until they moved to Hardy in 1944. They continued to farm there for many years. He died Sept 8, 1993, in the Mercy Medical Center at Des Moines after an extended illness. He was 79.

Surviving are his wife, Aurilla, a son and two daughters; Darold McKenna, Hardy; Kathy, Mrs. Dale Hill, Humboldt; and Sandra, Mrs. Don Prilipp, Algona. There are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two sisters and three brothers also survive: Doris Gardner and Jeanne Jamieson, both of Fort Dodge; Raymond McKenna, Algona; Donald of Spokane, WA; and Charles, Ankeny. His parents, a brother, Francis: and great-granddaughter, Jaclyn Simpson, preceded him in death.
