Humboldt, IA - Aurilla McKenna, 86, died Saturday Dec. 26, 1998 at the Humboldt Care Center North. Funeral services will be Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic church Livermore with the Rev Lynn Bruch officiating the Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery, Livermore. Survivors include: son Darold, Hardy; daughters Kathy Hill, Humboldt and Sandra Prilipp, Algona; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and sister Maxine Kuehnast, Lanesboro, MN. She was preceded in death by parents, Rudolph and Anna Martin Blesie, husband Robert in 1993, one great granddaughter, and brothers: Dudley and Merton Blesie.

Aurilla E. Blesie was born Oct. 14, 1912 in Renwick where she was raised and educated, graduating from Renwick High School. She then attended State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. Upon graduating, she taught in rural school near Renwick. In 1936 she married Robert McKenna in Livermore. They farmed near Renwick. In 1944, they moved to Hardy and farmed there for many years. In 1994 she bacame a resident of Humboldt Care Center North. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church, Livermore.
