Roger L. Anderson, 72, of Duncombe, died October 8, 2006 unexpectedly at Wright Medical Center in Clarion. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Interment will be held in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

He is survived by his wife Donna, son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Pat Anderson and his daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Dave Wiese; grandchildren, Matt and Heather Anderson, Melanie and Chad Nieland, Mitch Anderson, Brent and Molly Rowe, Brad and Anita Rowe; great grandchildren, Madison, Evan and Megan Anderson, Ashley Anderson and Alyson Neiland, Jo Allyn Rowe; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Gus and Darlene Anderson and Gayle and Billy June Anderson, sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Clifford Westling; his aunt Viola McCarthy and his uncle Everett Snell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Verna Anderson; his sister Charlene Behrens; his son Ricky Lee Anderson and grandson Brock Loren Rowe.

Roger was born on December 15, 1933 in Amboy, Minnesota. He graduated from Fort Dodge High School and married Donna Forbes in 1952. They lived in Fort Dodge until moving to rural Duncombe in 1960, where he farmed until his death. He retired from Hormel after 30 years of service. Roger has been delivering newspaper bundles for the Fort Dodge Messenger the last 13 years.
