March 19, 1889 --- October 9, 1980

Anastasia O'Brien, 91, died Thursday, October 9, 1980, at the Marion Home, where she had been a resident since 1976. Services were held at Laufersweiler Funeral Home and Sacred Heart Church on Monday, October 13, 1980, with the Reverend James C. McAlpin, administrator, officiating at the Mass of the Resurrection. Burial was in the Corpus Christi Cemetery, Fort Dodge, IA.

Anastasia L Sullivan was born in Preston, IA. After her schooling she moved to Fort Dodge with her parents. She worked as a telephone operator at Vincent. She married John J. O'Brien in 1917 at Saint Joseph's Church in Duncombe, IA. They established their home on a farm east of Fort Dodge. In 1955 they retired from farming and moved to Fort Dodge.

Surviving relatives are her children, Mrs. E. A. (Mary Agnes) Strosnider, Alexandria, VA; Bernard J. O'Brien, Fort Dodge; Eugene O'Brien, Castro Valley, CA; John D. O'Brien, Duncombe, IA; Mrs. Don (Geraldine) Markle, Rome, Italy. Surviving were also 15 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Josephine Stewart, Scottsdale, AZ.
