Gertrude (Trudy) Timm Janssen, age 87, of Belmond, Iowa passed away Friday, November 21, 2014, at the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond. Funeral services for Trudy Timm Janssen will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday November 29, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church in Belmond. Pastor Doug Love will officiate. Visitation for Trudy Timm Janssen will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. on Friday, November 28, 2014, at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South in Belmond and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Gertrude Louise was born September 23, 1927 in Lamberton, MN. Her father was a Lutheran pastor and they lived in several small towns in southern Minnesota and Loveland, Colorado. She graduated from Dr. Martin Luther High School in New Ulm, MN. Trudy married Roy Martin Timm and was blessed two children, David and Beverly. Trudy was blessed to share several of the final years of her life with dear friend Vern Janssen. The couple were married in April of 2014 and made their home in Belmond. Trudy is survived by her husband, Vern, children, David and Denise Timm of Omaha, NE, Beverly and Tim Ward of Lees Summit, MO, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. E. W. Lehne, husband, Roy, and two brothers, Ross and Gerald. DUGGER FUNERAL HOME - Belmond, Iowa
