Maurice Casteel, 50, Coppersmith in Yard, Succumbs in Seattle

Maurice Casteel, 50 years of age and a resident of Bremerton for the past 14 years, expired in a Seattle hospital Friday. His home was at 3741 F Street, and he worked as a coppersmith helper in the Puget Sound Navy Yard. Casteel was born November 12, 1892, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, and is survived by his wife, Vera; four sons, Byrl, Maurice, Wayne and Marvin of the family home, and three daughters, Mrs. Harry Puderbaugh of Bremerton and Mrs. James Clark of Norfolk, Va. Funeral services will be held at Lewis Chapel tomorrow at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Fred Opperman will officiate and burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. [Bremerton, Washington]

Maurice Casteel died May 14 at Virginia Mason hospital in Seattle. He lived at 3741 F St. Born in Eagle Grove, Ia., Nov. 12, 1892, he was 50 years of age and had been a resident of Bremerton for the last 14 years. He was a coppersmith helper in the navy yard. Surviving him are his wife, Vera, and four sons, Burl, Maurice, Wayne and Marvin, all of the family home, and his daughters, Mrs. Charles Winkel of Navy Yard City, Mrs. Harry Puderbaugh of Bremerton and Mrs. James Clark of Norfolk, Va. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Fred Opperman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn cemetery
