March 31, 1906 --- June 28, 1989

Memorial services for Lee Wilson, 83, Hardy, were held Sunday, July 2, at the Hardy Methodist Church. He died at his home in Hardy on Wednesday, June 28. The Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt was in charge of the arrangements, with the Rev. Ken Peterson officiating. Survivors include his wife Martha; one daughter, Charlene Becker of Fort Collins, CO; two grandchildren; and one brother, Ray Wilson of Windsor, CA.

Lee Wilson, son of Archie and Maude (Kathan) Wilson, was born March 31, 1906, at Eagle Grove and received his education from the Livermore Community Schools, graduating from the Livermore High School. He attended college in Des Moines and was later employed as a meat cutter in Des Moines. In 1932 he married Martha Volberding at Elk Point, SD, and they made their home in Livermore. In 1941 they moved to Hardy, where he was in the electrical, heating and plumbing business. The couple owned a grocery and hardware store in Hardy, and for a period of time owned the meat locker in Hardy. After retiring in 1970, they spent the winters in Texas. He was a Ham radio operator for many years.
