Former resident, Alice Lane, 99, dies in Ames

RENWICK - Mrs. Alice Lane, 99, formerly a resident of Renwick, died Thursday at Ames. Services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Renwick United Methodist Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Blake Funeral Home in charge. Alice Cox was born at Somonauk, Ill., and married Charles Lane in 1902 at Sabbona, Ill. Mr. Lane preceded his wife in death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Alvin Edgar, Nevada; a son Floyd Lane, Renwick; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
